YSS Upcycled Hairband Tute

Heya! Today's post is to share the fun things you can make using your regular scrapbook stash! needless to say, scrapbooking supplies are so versatile, you don't need them just to create layouts or cards,the can be used for to make really fun accessories!

And I did just that, using my Maya Kraft Doily, handmade flower embellie, some glimmer glam, and some ruffled ribbon!

The supplies that you will need : glue gun, Ruffled ribbon, handmade flower embellie, hairband, Maya Road Kraft Doily, Spritzer

First, using a glue gun, glue the ribbon down the entire length of the ribbon

Next, dab glimmer glam all over the doily and once it's dried, using a spritzer, spritz water to scrunch up the doily

Adhere the handmade flower (you also opt to use Prima flowers ;)) the the doily

Scrunch them up. This is what it'll probably look like

Adhere the newly formed flower on top of the hairband

and voila, the finished product! I have also added a couple of flowers from my craft supply for a more feminine and full feel ;)

My YSS DT Kit this time had a chock full of October Afternoon 5 & Dime goodness and Cosmo Cricket's Odds and Ends...you gotta love both lines for sure! :) Big thanks to Erica for letting us pick out our own stash this time! you're the sweetest! lol!! :)

With all that yummo goodness, I whipped up this (super layered) layout of my Missy A and her lil fren (whose name also starts with A! hence the A & A titled layout) :P.. you can see, I simply couldn't resist adding the Cosmo Cricket fussy cut vintage gurls to my layout!

Those Jillibean Soup Corrugated Alphas are cool too! I dabbed some glimmer glaze and glimmer glam to change the white of the alphas to a slightly off white tinge, and if you look at it up close, it's all glittery and very pretty! :) I added the glimmer glam to the white flowers too :)

Gel-a-tins Thanks Card - Put A Cap On It Stamp Set

Happy Saturday everyone! I would’ve probably shared before that I’m a vintage freak and that I can never steer away from having a couple of butterflies or flowers on my layouts or cards..and this card, just proves that I love those three elements..

This month, I was lucky to get the gel-a-tins Put a Cap on it stamp set which is D E L I G H T F U L! the stamp set also has simple sentiments that you can use on it’s own, or within the cap stamp. So here’s my project, using the single simple sentiment from that set.

Materials Used:
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics
Stamp : Gel-a-tins Put a Cap On It
Patterned Paper : My Mind’s Eye – Stella & Rose
Die: Sizzix Layered flower (for handmade flower embellie)
Flowers : Craft Supply

To Do Book - Stash Faves

How many of us have a tough time remembering the many things we have to accomplish for the week (or even for the day for that matter *lol*)? I know I do! So here's a lil something I came up with for my YSS DT Assignment and blog hop which also happens to be based on my all time fav products to date! ;)

A simple tute to guide you through how it was made:

1) Paint a raw cardboard / cereal box cardboard black
2) Dab some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze and Glimmer Glam on it using a cotton ball at random spots
3) Die cut the middle for a frame / window
3) Adhere some fussy cut flowers and image from October Afternoon 5 & Dime - Lemon Drops, Cosmo Cricket Odds & Ends - Trinkets patterned papers
4) Adhere die cut sticker from October Afternoon 5 & Dime - Shape Stickers
5) Adhere chipboard by Crate Paper Portrait - Chipboard Embellishments
6) Bind the book togther using binding rings

Easy peasy rite? :)

Canvas Bookmark / Page Marker

hello! happy wednesday to you! :) guess who's back this wednesday to share a project with u lovely peeps? me of course! Lol!! and today I'd like to share a canvas page marker / bookmark with you!

Some easy steps to follow:
1)Slap some medium (you can also use mod podge. I've used Claudine Hellmuth for mine) onto the die cut canvas sheet and some onto the paper
2)Place the patterned paper atop the canvas sheet
3)Wait for it to dry
4)Using a spritzer, spray some water off the back of the patterned paper and rub off lightly
5) You will notice that the image from the patterned paper is transfered off onto the canvas sheet
6) Stamp random areas with script stamp
7) Embellish

Hey there sweets! :) I just got back from Singapore this evening and boy did I have a blast there! I got much of my supplies replenished (*lol* not that I ever run / ran out of 'em ) and there were many stores that were offering 40% off scrapbooking supplies! you wont believe it!! I'm certainly gonna make another trip there when they have their next sale!

My cousin, sis and I headed out on Saturday morning at 11am and didn't get back until 1130pm! that's how much we shopped and now i've got aching heels and a terrible headache *lol* but all worth it I tell you! :)

And I so badly wanted to update my backdated blog that I simply had to visit blog land! I havent dropped by ur blogs, but I'm certainly coming by soon..!! till then, here's a card for my YSS stint featuring the gel-a-tins Put a Cap on it stamp set :)

Hello there! can you believe it's mid week already (mid year too :P )? I'm sooo looking forward to this weekend where I'll be off to Singapore for a lil holiday with my sis & cousin! happy happy happy!~ lol! :) pssstt...I hear there's a sale goin on there too! :)

Anyhoo..as with every Wednesday, it's my turn to share a lil project for Papier with you crafty ladies! and what have I got up my sleeves for ya ? a simple lil 4x6 card with a small slot inside for you to add in some photos...a fun idea for you to try I reckon? :)

My DT kit this month had yummo Glitz Design patterned paper and Tim Holtz Coredinations Cardstock..the cardstock was a joy to play with considering it came with embossed polka dots that I could sand and squash to get a two tone effect for my handmade flower embellie..I love making my own flowers and believe you me, the Coredinations cardstock is purrfect! :)

Captured Moment - Card for YSS DT Debut

hey hey hey!! what a weekend it's been! I've been out and about & bz as a bumble bee *lol*..But I had lotsa fun nonetheless.. :) And I even got a new pressie from my grandparents place!

Wana guess wat it is? a sewing machine!!! my aunt had this old (well, mayb not so old after all) sewing machine that had just come home from being repaired and she didnt quite know wat to do wit it since she doesnt sew much these days...so (being the good samaritan that I am *wink* *wink*) I stepped rite in and decided to give the lil machine a new home..aaannnnd a new lease of life..now if I can just figure out how to use it *LOL*

I had a fruitful day today, my morning started with a class on card making by me where I had lotsa fun!! :) and now I'm blogging from a different state where my grandparent's place is! :) I love it here! :)

Anyhoo, remember I shared with you ladies the other day that the awesome Cuddly Buddly is celebrating a blog hop? Well, the DT was split into 2 team, Cuddly and Buddly. And guess which team I'm on? Well, Buddly of course! *lol* (such cute names don't ya think?)

Papier Love - Altered Canvas

Good day ya'll! :) It's a beautiful Wednesday and with my turn at the Papier blog, I'd like to share with you an altered canvas! ;) It was made following these simple steps:

1) Stamp all round the canvas with a script stamp (or any other background one of your choice)
2) Create a background for photo using rub-ons (I've used the Glitz Design Love Nest rub-on)
3) Tie a bow around the Maya Road sheer tag
4) Adhere photo, tag and flowers

Cuddly Buddly Digi Challenge Launch

Hey there!! Just a quick update to share with you sweeties on the launch of the brand new CUDDLY BUDDLY DIGI CHALLENGE. There will be a fun challenge each week with each member of the design team using a digi image from the super talented artists at Cuddly Buddly

There is no limit to the number of entries that you can submit, but do bear in mind that the image used would need to be one from CUDDLY BUDDLY. Each challenge comes with a theme and the first one was chosen by Katie.. it is "Brand New"which means that it can be with regards to anything new! Fun eh!!! :)

Hey there!! It's Wednesday and that means a DT project by me to share with ya'll! and what have I got in store? a layout! :)

As shared with ya'll in my previous posts, my Papier DT kit this month had Basic Grey papers. This range is rather on the colourful side, but beautiful nonetheless, and matching 'em together for layers was a tad bit tough..but here's what I came up with, hope it inspires you! ;) I hardly ever use patterned papers for my background, but I must say I do like how this turned out! :)

I also had some vintage lace which I quickly turned into a flower ;) It's nice for a change don't ya think? Something different from the usual of just adhering across the page. I also used vintage buttons for the centres..and then I further embellished with some die cut chipboard stickers of the same BG range..

Cuddly Buddly DT Introductory Project

Hey there ya'll! :) Can you believe it's Thursday already! owh I so cant wait for the wknd though it's gonna be super duper hectic! Two birthdays parties on Saturday and a Baby Shower on Sunday is surely gonna make my weekend fly by!

Anyhoo, off to the reason for my posting today...It's time to share my introductory project for Cuddly Buddly with you sweeties! :) Though I had to ink this lil beauty up a couple of times before I got the shades I desired, I still had lotsa fun playin up with this stamp that was created by our Kim MacFarlane..I'm telling you, this lady is awesome! :) Check out the digi stamps created by her and whole host of other digi stamp artists HERE..you're gonna be spoilt for choice!

Altered Project - Gel-a-tins

hello! How's ur Monday been? I managed to fight off the Monday blues yesterday by crafting till bout 1am...but the after effect ain't that good..cause I felt super duper sleepy at work! *lol*

Well, It's time for a Gel-a-tins project and since it's been a while since I made an altered project, I thought the Gel-a-tins Put A Cap On It stamp set will be perfect for this lil earthenware sieve I got from our local Daiso...yeap, you ladies read it rite *lol*..I'm about to share with you'll an altered sieve!

I'm the sorta person who'll walk around a store looking for something to alter, and I always come home (happy :)) with things I wonder when I'll use or for what I'll use..and this time, I'm in a very happy mood (yes yes I've got more good news to share *lol*) and I felt like scrapping all day long and indulging in those altered projects I love so much!..until reality hit me (DH had to remind me of course) that I had work to attend to come Monday..

I'm off to put Missy A to bed, and hopefully in that process I don't end up falling asleep with her, cause I've got some images of potential projects playing in my mind! :) *this is probably what happens when you're away from crafting for a while isn't it*

If there's one thing I've learnt in card making, it's got to be that there can never be enough fussy cutting, distressing and..layering! yeap you read it right! Layering need not only be used for scrapbooking but it works great on cards too!

And when you have beautiful papers by Basic Grey, it definitely makes it all the more difficult to avoid fussy cutting..and layering! Here's the card I'd like to share with you'll..featuring just that..layers! :)

1) Cut out cardstock to 4x12
2) Cut out three strips of patterned paper
3) Place one strip down, punch the long length of the edges on either side for the other two strips and adhere on top
4) Tuck in some fussy cut patterned papers
5) Add on a chipboard sticker / any image
6) Sentiment of course! :)

hey there dearies! I'm back with a card for you ;) this time for my Gel-a-tins DT stint and using the Many Thanks Stamp Set..It's a pretty set of Thank You sentiments and I've got a few more projects lined up using the very set.. ;)

I know I've 'neglected' my blog for quite a bit..I dunno what it is that I'm busy with *lol*, but I do find myself to be extremely busy these days! I've drawn up a plan to keep this lil blog of mine busy again (and god willing I should be able to keep up with my new task *LOL*)

I love this hobby, but of late I seem to be feeling tired all the time..I think work plus the want to spend time with Lil Missy A is taking a toll on me.. nowadays, my lil gurl seems a lil withdrawn...I guess she feels I'm neglecting her now that I'm no longer a SAHM :( she actually says 'Mummy go away'..!!

so I'm making all amends by putting her as my top most list of priorities..and I insist on attending to her needs as soon as I'm home..I have a nice domestic helper (I dont like calling her a maid :P cause in all fairness she does help me with the household chores/domestic needs of my family) but I don't let her handle Missy A once I'm home..so most of the time, when I take her to bed, I end up falling asleep with her *LOL*..anyways...I think I'm rambled away quite a bit :) sorry to bore you darlings! :)

Altered Folder

It's the school holidays now and I bet you ladies are trying reeaaaalll hard to keep your gurls occupied *lol* Here's a lil project that'll keep those little hands busy...a lil altered folder that they can take back to school! How cool is that eh? ;)

You can get these folders at Daiso and I find that the Basic Grey Luscious collection are pretty to deco it up ;) Being one that loves fussy cutting, I couldn't resist doing just that! lol!! :) I've also used the Prima Flocked Rub-Ons which is such a cool product! your kids are gonna fun with this piece of craft supply! ;)

Without further ado, here's the project, simple enough for your dear one to execute without much supervision ;)

Tips :
1)Try distressing the edges and fussy cut flowers

hello there!! today was crazy!! we had a small do for Missy A's 2nd Birthday..and it was fun! we had close friends and family over...and guess what the theme was? Barney of course!! so from balloons to party favours..it was all Barney!

Not forgetting the cake, and we even had a Barney mascot...wana take a guess on who was inside that suit? my DH of course!, yeap...this time, hubby went a wee bit overboard and got the Barney suit shipped over to us..that's how crazy he is over Missy A, AND that's how crazy Missy A is over Barney!! so now..we've got 3 sizes of Barney dolls, small, medium and extra large! lol!! will be sure to share sum pics soon ;)

Moving on the reason for my posting today, it's a layout made out of die cut stickers and fussy cutting..it's a layout of my princess and a wish for her..to bloom and grow into a courteous, kind hearted one.. :)

Hey there! Today's post by me is a card using the very pretty and glitterly My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Collection Patterned Paper..I had half the mind of not cutting them up, but..a gurl's gotta do what a gurl's gotta do isn't it? *Lol*

Anyhoo..here's the card I'd like to share with ya'll..my kit this time had lotsa vintage buttons and cards..and I used one of those vintage cards for this post today..I love that lil camera image! simply gorgeous don't ya think? ;)

Just to share a few tips with you crafty friends :
1) Gesso out words / phrases that you don't want...the Gesso effect will give a vintage feel
2) Don't be afraid to glam up a vintage card further. I stamped some text images around this piece
3) Leftovers / scraps left behind by punched out portions can be assembled to form pretty flowers (like what I have done for the flowers on this card ;))

Hey there dear bloggy friends...today I haven't got a card, or layout (or any project for that matter) to share..it's been a tiring end of week for me...just a couple of hours after my last post, my lil gurl suddenly threw up..and minutes after that she developed a very high fever..

I suppose it's part of growing up that kids go though ups and downs in their health, but she had to be admitted to the hospital as her fever never went down till yday..only to return this morning..we've brought her back home as I thought home ground may probably help her recover sooner..and I hope I made the right decision..

Do bear with me while I juggle my time between caring for her, planning for her 2nd Birthday Bash (yeap my baby will be turning two next wknd! :)) and visiting your blogs yeah..I reckon things will be back to normal in no time..n hoping for her speedy recovery so she gets to enjoy the lil party her mummy's planning for her..! :)

Hello there! Can you believe it mid week already?! Thank goodness is was a holiday yesterday, I managed to get some rest, and hang out at the mall with my DD! Yes yes, I'm spending lots of time with her these days and I'm enjoying every bit of it! She's got lots of things to say these days and it's pretty fun to hear the things she has to say! :)

Off to the card I'd like to share, I decided to go on a one colour theme this time ;) here's a lil how-to:
1) Cut out cardstock to 4x11
2) Cut-out Patterned Paper to 3.8x5.
3) Cut the patterned paper horizontally into
4) Adhere both halves of the patterned paper to the cardstock
5) Stitch both halves together
6) Using the same patterned paper, fussy cut details (if there are details to fussy cut) and adhere and layer with flowers and stamp a sentiment

Hey there dearies! I can't believe it's Monday already! :( so fast the weekend flew by! but I'm thankful it was well spent, I managed to craft a bit and also spend lots of time with my Lil Missy A! With work and all, I've only been able to cater a couple of hours a day with her...boy do I miss the moments I was a SAHM where I could spend hours with her!

I think I must've watched 'Finding Nemo' at least 8 times (though not in full, thank god! ) this weekend and not to mention 'Barney' too. I guarantee you, I had Barney songs playing in my mind at work *lol* and probably had Dory's 'P Sherman, Wallaby Way...' script somewhere in there too! *lol*

Anyways..off to a gel-a-tins card, here's a lil something I made using the 'Many Thanks' stamp set..If I havent mentioned it yet *lol*, they're totally gorgeous, the sentiments are simple and sweet and perfect as they are or even for backgrounds...Gel-a-tins has got lots of other beautiful stamps to choose from as well so be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects featuring other stamp sets yeah.. ;)

Bunny on the Loose!

Hey there dearies! been a long while since I popped by here isn't it! lol!! today I'm here to share a layout I made late last night! yes..I've been bizzy as a bee whipping up projects to share with my dear bloggy friends, and this layout is one of 'em!

Not too long ago, I had gotten my Missy A a bunny bathrobe for her to use after a bit of splashing around in the pool..and to be quite honest..she ain't a big fan of it! *lol*!! she constantly tugs at it and most often, the lil bunny ears hoodie falls off her head!

My hubby managed to capture a pic of her in action, and I went right ahead and scrapped it! :) Here it is...a very simple one..I tried something different, I distressed the edges of the photos cause I wanted it to match the distressed script ephemera :P but I'm not certain if you can see it..

Good day to you ladies! It's been a fine week don't ya think? no rain to spoil the day and no gloominess! *lol* As with every Wednesday, today's my turn at the Papier blog! and I have a card to share with you lovely peeps! ;)

A quick how-to:
1) Cut cardstock to 4x12
2) Cut patterned paper to 3.8x5.7
3) Adhere patterned paper to cardstock
4) Affix photo corners
5) Slide in the Bingo Card
6) Embellish with flowers, buttons and ribbon

Tip :
1) Photo corners need not necessarily be used for photos only ;)
2) Instead of a Bingo Card, you can always opt to use a photo to make a photo card

I'm using the gel-a-tins Many Thanks stamp set for this card. As you can see, I haven't quite gotten over the fairies from the g45 papers *Lol* and I've seriously got to think about getting a sewing machine cause hand stitching simply doesnt seem to going 'straight' for me! *hehe*

Anyhoo..here's the card I'd like to share :) I love the Many Thanks stamp set cause each Thank You sentiment is so different from the other and there just so many ways to them..from backgrounds to just being used as a sentiment! ;)

Altered Magnet

I found this magnet at our local Daiso and I have to admit this is my greatest find ever! *lol* I had always been on the lookout for this type as it works both ways, as a box, and as a fridge magnet..and the fact that you can see through it, is even more cool!!! There were only 2 left on the rack and I sure didn't waste my time pondering whether I needed both..or just one! *hehe*

Anyhoo, when I received my Papier DT kit for this month, it was filled with tonnes of yummy vintage goodies that I just wanted to dive into and use! but I held sum back for my upcoming projects and only used a few for this magnet *hehe*

A lil tute:
1) Distress the edges of the Melody Ross chipboard with distress inks and stamp on top of it with a script / text stamp

2) Adhere the cihpboard to the box and then continue to layer with lots flowers (I've used the 3D flower die, you may even opt to use Prima flowers)

3) Layer two different butterflies (the bigger one is courtesy of a dear DT friend who had been extremely nice to share some with me..you know who you are dear!) ;))

4) And lastly, I added the two Jenni Bowlin chipboard buttons

easy peasy huh! I know I havent dropped by your blogs as much as I should, but please forgive me... I will be sure to come by later today and leave you some love and definitely to be in awe at the things you have to share...till then, cheerios!!! :)

Hey there sweeties!! :) I know it seems like it's been forever since you heard from me *lol*..well to be honest.. I too feel like that cause i've been soooooo bogged down!! and now that I have some time in hand, I'd like to share a card I made using the gel-a-tins Many Thanks & Wild Things Stamps!!

Materials Used: Cardstock, Gel-a-tins Many Thanks and Wild Things Stamp Set, Making Memories Patterned Paper, Ek Success Scallop Diamond Punch, Twine

It's a simple card I'd like to share this time and here's a lil step by step tute
1) Cut out cardstock to a measurement of 4x6
2) Cut out patterned paper to a measurement of 3x5
3) Adhere patterned paper atop the cardstock and punch along the borders
4) Stitch along the border (I used a scallop diamond punch, so all I had to do was weave the thread through the teeny tiny holes, easy peasy! ;))
4) Using a scallop circle punch, punch out one circle, distress the edges and stamp floral image
5) Adhere butterflies and lastly stamp the sentiment using the Many Thanks stamp set

My Red Shoes

Today I'd like to share a layout I made using the store kit! It's a simple one, with a bit of clustering round the centre..

I choose to scrap a pic of my Missy A using her fav red shoes a dear friend got her :) Believe me, she's crazy over it *lol*

Off to the layout, it's a two photo layout and the potrair photo is layered with a chipboard baroque die cut. The rest is layering using the Prima flowers & AC Pebbles that also come with the kit ;)

The alphabet stickers were layered with cardstock and adhered to the layout using foam dots.

Off to the layout we go ! I'm also submitting this layout for the Scrap-It-Lah anniversary blog hop challenge! :)

Thanks Card - Gel-a-tins

Hey hey hey! :) Remember I shared last weekend that my stamps have arrived? Well I couldn't wait much longer and got started right away! *lol* Here's what I came up with using the gel-a-tins Many Thanks Sentiment Stamps

See the lil round stamp at the corner right of the stamp set? I used that to make the make the background for the card, and slapped a bit of crackle paint all over for a washed out look

Next, I layered in atop a larger piece of cardstock and stitched the edges (gosh! at times like this i sure wish I had a sewing machine *lol* but I think my stitching turned out pretty ok didn't it? *hehe*)

Here's what the outcome is like:

After that, I embellished the card with G45 patterned papers and prima flowers and the Hambly Bird Cage screen print

Lastly, I added the 'Thanks' sentiment from the very same stamp set.

Using the store kit again this week, I made a simple & fast mini album. It's an 8 page mini which you can fill up with what you wish to. I didn't add any pics so you can actually decide for yourself, what you'd like to put in..!

and when I said in my first post that this kit is perfect for a lil child, I sure wasn't kidding ;) you'll soon see why..

Tip 1: Paint the chipboard and tie a bow at the hole of the keychain ring

I have no idea what it is that I'm soooo busy with..but I find myself always rushing about..! lol!! boy do I miss those times I used to be a SAHM *sigh*

I just got back from my granparents place a couple of hours ago and I miss them already :( my DH and I try to make it a point to visit them as often as we can. With old age, it's rather diffcult for them to make a 2.5 hr trip to come by our side of the country..so, we decided that we'd go by and spend time with them instead! We're looking fwd to our next trip there!! :)

While awaiting the arrival of my new set of stamps for the gel-a-tins DT kit this month (which arrived today!!! yay!!!! I can't wait to get started with them!!) , I thought I'd use the Wild Things stamp to make a couple of tags! :)

Scrap-It-Lah Blog Hop - Week 3!

Hey there sweeties!! TGIF!! It's time for the weekend yay!! :) Hope your week was pleasant..mine was a bit of a roller coaster..my lil one is down with a terrible flu..her eyes are all swelled up and I feel so miserable for her! :( I hope she'll recover fast!

This week's my turn as host for the 3rd week of the blog hop and I have a simple tute cum challenge for you - an altered door hanger!

Adhere a piece of PP at the bottom half of the door hanger

Adhere a contrasting piece of patterned paper on the upper half. I chose a simple piece of Webster's Pages PP

Turn the door hanger over so you can cut-off the hole for the door knob and the excess patterned paper By using two different patterned papers, you get a bit of variation. I like the effect and I hope you will try it too ;) Using Ranger distress inks, distress all round the hanger Using a patterned paper of your choice (I've used Webster's Pages) do a bit of fussy cutting and layer. I made my chipboard embellie by layering the fussy cut patterned onto a piece of chipboard. A lil bit more fussy cutting (I couldn't resist putting that lil fairy from the G45 patterned papers) Since the top half of the door hanger was a lil plain looking, I did a wee bit of stamping and sprayed some water over it for a vintagey look. And a bit more fussy cut fairies Wana see the final outcome? Here it is ;) Materials Used : Raw Chipboard Door Hanger, Webster's Pages, G45 Patterned Papers, Chipboard, Ranger Distress Inks, Prima Background Stamp

'To Do' Book for Papier

I'm sure many of us have trouble keeping track of the things we need to do for the day, or maybe even for the week! I know I do *lol*..especially in the craft scene where there are so many awesome challenge blogs to be participating in!

So, using the store kit this month, I made lil a 'Things To Do Today' book! I simply photocopied a list template that I found at home (lucky me *lol*), cut out a piece of cardboard to the measurement of 5x8 and embellished it with the cutesy embellishments and patterend paper from the kit!

It's very easy to make and I'm sure you'll find yourselves organized in no time! :) Here's the project I'd like to share with you sweeties! :)

Your Eyes Tell On You

I had so much fun creating with my gel-a-tins wild things stamps that I couldn't help but create a project other than a card! It really is a must-have and I'm not saying it just cause I'm on the gel-a-tins DT! lol!! :)

I made a tag featuring my sweet lil model..Missy A! :) and this time I'd like to take you through a teeny weeny tute on how I made this ;)

First, cut a 4x6 ivory cardstock and distress the edges. Stamp a flower image of your choice at random areas

Next, cut out a smaller piece of cardstock, and repeat the same as above. Once done, adhere the smaller piece atop the bigger cardstock and tear a lil at the sides so the image that you stamped on the larger cardstock peeks through.

Adhere a sheet of vintage music notes or patterned paper and place the photo. Stamp the flowers again, only this time, stamp the images onto the photo (making sure not to cover the face lol!!

Finally,embellish to your heart's content and stamp some pom pom flower on to transparency, and layer them on top of the paper flower ;)

Simple eh? ;) Here's what the final product looks like ;)

Hey there ladies!! This month's my turn with the store kit! Aptly named embellicious, it's a yummy kit filled with tonnes of embellishments and pretty girly papers from Echo Park just to name a few! ;)

To start off with ideal projects with the kit, I'll begin by sharing a simple project this week and then slowly off to slightly more elaborate ones in the coming weeks, how's that? ;)

hello there my crafty friends!! :) How's your weekend been? mine flew by before I could even realise that it WAS the weekend lol!! :) Saturday lil A had a Birthday party where she freaked out upon seeing a Barney mascot!! when I say freaked out..I mean totally freaked!! I was pretty much red faced cause my lil gurl refused to let go of the purple dinosaur!! she clung to him like a leech and bawled her eyes out when she was separated from him! my..,it was a tiring affair I tell u!! :)

Sunday was pretty much spent at my in-laws.. ;) and tomorrow's back-to-work day..sigh.. ca you tell I've got the monday blues? *hehe* anyhoo..off with my rambling and on to today's post, ;) it's my last sketch take with the Cardabilities DT and it was a simple sketch to work on! check it out HERE

Another gel-a-tins inspired card!

Can you tell I'm having oodles of fun with these stamps?! lol!! I love it to bits and I've got another project coming your way reaaaallll soon!! :) Today's project is another card..I love the colour combo of this one..! a combo I rarely use(probably my first time even! *hehe*) It was simple to assemble this together and the stamps can be used to create such beautiful foliage! :) Dont ya agree? ;) I made this card with a few easy steps: 1) Cut out a 4x12 cardstock and fold in half 2) Cut out patterned paper at 3.8x5.7 3) Punch a strip of patterned paper 4) On a sheet of transparency, stamp the floral images & cut out 5) Assemble all & add a ribbon! Easy peasy? lol!! You've got to try stamping on transparency if you havent already! ;)

Distressed Card

Hello there!! :) It's such a gloomy gloomy day! oh how I wish I could just stay home and snuggle up in bed..or maybe craft all day long!! lol!! far fetched dreams *hehe*..

Anyhoo...today's my turn at the Papier blog and I have a totally (when I say totally, I mean totally *lol*) distressed card with stamping! Scroll down and you will see exactly what I mean! ;) This card was made in 20 mins...! all you have to do is:

1) Stamp the background with a stamp of your choice
2) Die cut 2 sizes of scallop circle (or simply punch two sizes if you havent got a die cut machine)
3) Stamp your image on the smaller size
4) Stamp a border on either side
5) Distress to your heart's content (like what I've done here ;) *hehe*)
6) Layer the circles one on top of the other
7) Stick them on top of the cardstock
8) You're done! ;)

Card Quick & Easy

Heya!! How's ur week been so far? Mine has been amazing! and sure hope the same for u too ;) Today I'll be sharing a card of punches and stamping for my DT take at Papier..It's a simple one for those of you who need to make a quick card!

All you need to do is:
1) Cut out a 4x12 cardstock & fold in half
2) Adhere a piece of 4x6 PP on top of the cardstock
3) Punch out two strips of two different PP using different border punches
4) Adhere to the top and bottom of the card horizontally
5) Stamp some butterflies on a piece of transparency & adhere those to the card too! and you're done!

Gel-a-tins DT Premiere!

Hey there sweeties! Today, the first ever DT for gel-a-tins stamps does their reveal! and with all the excitement bubbling..., I made not one, but two projects (there's more to come by the way! ;)) with the oh-so-sweet stamps that were were sent to me by Bonnie! She's an amazing, sweet & fun lady!! :)

Here's the first project I'd like to share with ya'll..a card! my all time fav :) We also have a new facebook age that' brewing lotsa yummy eye candy by the DT!!...so be sure to visit us there ya!! ;) The set of stamps that were used for this project (Wild Things) can be found here amongst many other yummy treats by gel-a-tins!! and I must tell you, the stamps come in really, really cute, aluminium containers for easy storage!

Cardabilities March 15 Reveal

I can't believe how fast time flies, today I'll be sharing with you one of the last two sketches for March as DT for Cardabilities. It's been a fun filled two terms with Cardabilities and Karan has been a pleasure to work with :) I thank Karan for giving me the opportunity to be a part of Cardabilities..! the new DT will surely have fun working on the sketches as they are TDF! :)

Some scrappy info to share:
1) I stamped the kraft cardstock with the Hero Arts Stamp and Sahara Sand Chalk Ink
2) The squares were cut using the smallest die in the spellbinders die set
3) The flowers are basically layered and the sentiment was stamped on a piece of cardstock and scrunched up

You're Sew Nice!

Before I share my post for today, my prayers are with our Japanese friends who are undergoing a trying time with the recent tsunami and earthquake..my heart goes out to them.. I must say that I admire the bravery and positive mindset they have, despite the tragic happenings there..they will definitely pull through this difficult time..I have faith..and I'm certain all our prayers are with them..

I love sentiments that are cute! but then again who doesn't isn't it! lol!! :) Anyhoo...here's a quick post by me for my DT project at Papier..it's a window card using the ever famous lady form stamp by Hero Arts..! I honestly can't help using it cause it's so gorgeous!!!

I've also used two different embossing for the outer and inner sheet of the card..plus a lil bit of distressing here and there. I've also used the Martha Stewart border punch to create borders on the card and added on a lil Webster's Pages bloom..

Hey hey hey!! Happy Wednesday ya all! ;) It's two days to the weekend and boy am I happy!! :) lol!! I'm back to share a card I made for the Papier blog today..

My DT kit this time had Cosmo Cricket papers which were mighty fun to play with..! the colours are vintagey with a wee bit of washed out effect which are some of the criterias that I look out for..I'm old at heart..what can I say *lol*

I also used a bit of distressing embossing powder for around the edges of the card and topped it off with some distress inks too..then the rest of it is basically layering..lots of it actually! lol ;)

Scrap-It-Lah MoodBoard

Hey there!! It's that time of the month again when Scrap-It-Lah reveals their challenge for the month and boy oh boy is it fun!! *lol*

The challenge is to create a mood board..and believe me, it was pretty challenging..but definitely fun cause this is my first ever mood board! I do believe I'll be experimenting more with this is in the long run!! :)

My take is based on my li l gurl A (as always hehe)...and the words are to depict her mood and my aspirations for her (hopefully they're hers to her when she grows up *lol)*..while the embellishments reflect her fav things like cycling (her baby bicycle of course *lol*), music, clouds, flowers, birds and balloons! yes my baby loves all things colourful! these are the things tht make her go 'woweee'. I promise you, she says that!

Pocket Card

Hey there!! How's it going for you this week? I've been rushing about! for some odd reason..I don't seem to be able to find enough time *lol*!! Anyhoo..a quick post from me today for Papier..I'd like to share a pocket card with you!

It's very simple..it works like an ATC..all you need is to make the pocket and then slot the card in! I embellished the card with a stamped lady image using the Hero Arts Stamp (I {heart} this image) and the pocket was made and embellished using Cosmo Cricket PPs (which were also fussy cut) and a touch of handmade bloom! ;)

Simple and sweet? ;) Here's the card..

hey there dearies!! :) How have you been? I know it's been a long while since you heard from me *lol* I've been bz as a bee with lotsa things..one of it being my office annual team building..! I just got back from it today..and it was horrid! enough said!

Anyhoo...here's a layout I created before my weekend escapade..It's rather messy..but I still like how it turned out..not quite my usual style I tink? I still havent gotten over my fascination for those transparency stamped butterflies too *Lol*

and I love how those lil pink blooms turned out..I simply inked them with distress inks first and then misted them with glimmer mist..the white splothes of paint was made using a scrunched up piece of paper as a dabber and I was so inspired by Teacher Jessy's layout HERE..that I used some my sentiment stamps to stamp at random areas around the page lol!! Thanks for the inspiration gurl!

Heya sweeties!!! I'm back with another project for Papier!! and this time, I've used the American Crafts Patterned Papers to make a mini album cum journal for lil gurls of schooling age! why? cause we girlfriends ( especially the younger ones *lol*) always have lots of lil notes and secrets to jot down..

I know my bestie and I used to..and I'm glad I have them stored nicely so I can view 'em anytime I wish to.. ;) It's too bad that we didnt have handmade mini and journals back then!!

Anyhoo..here's wat I came up with..lots of fussy cutting for embellies and a big prima flower for opening and closure of the project

Pop-up Mini Album

If there's one person who's been a constant encouragement and always there to lift my spirits, it's gotta be Jessy! :) A couple of weeks back, while I hung out her, she was nice enough to part with some of these gorgeous WP PPs!! and I have to do justice to them isn't it! :) Thank you babe for sharing them with me!! :) I loved playing with them!!

This is what I came up with, a pop-up mini album! actually, as strange as it may sound, my hubby was inspired by Lil A's pop-up Thomas & Friends activity book and gave me the idea to make this lil mini that I so so so adore!! Though it was fun, it definitely was no easy feat.. lol!! :) I only made two pages of pop-up while the rest are simple with lots of fussy cutting..

I'm goin to work on fine tuning this mini to make the pop-up more seamless..I might even make another pop-up!! lol! but for the moment..i love this mini to bits!! and truly hope it inspires you dearies!!

Btw, I scrapped pics of lil A with her dear friend, another lil A, at their play date ;)

Altered Journal

In conjunction with Valentine's Day, we DT members were to create projects using the DT kit based on our own interpretation of Valentine's Day!

To me, Valentine's Day is not just about appreciating or spending time with your hubby or boyfriend..it's a day you spend with the ones you love, your parents, your uncles and aunts, or even your bffs..! :) agreed? *lol*

So here's an altered journal I made for a swap with my bffs! what better way than to note down those sweet memories to reminisce those wonderful tea time moments don't ya think? :) I used the glitter chipboard and cabochon (with velcro for backing) as a flap to open and close the journal.

When you have to juggle between work and scrapping..there's always bound to be a project or two that are so-called forgotten to be posted! and silly ol' me did just that ! *lol*

Here's a layout I made about 3-4 weeks ago and it's been sitting in my drafts for what seems like eons!!! *lol*

So what am I doing blogging on Valentine's Day when I should be out with my 2 darlings? lol!!! Hubby's just got back from work so while I wait for him to get ready, I thought I'll take this opportunity to do a quick post!

A New Frontier to Explore..A New Begining with an Exciting Team!

Woo hoo!! In my previous post, I had some happy news to share! So here I am, squealing with delight!! Cause... I am so excited that I am now part of gel-a-tins!!! I applied for the DT position from the call they had posted..not thinking too much about it after that as I even had doubts if I'd be accepted..but I got the thrilling news of acceptance into the DT ! yaaay!! :)

I'd like to extend my thanks to the wonderful folks at gel-a-tins for giving me this wonderful, amazing opportunity..It's going to be an awesome experience.. I can tell! *lol* and I'm just waiting to start right on!!! woo hoo!! :)

Altered Project - Altered Jewelry Box

Hey dearies!! TGIF !!! *lol* Today I received a pleasant surprise! (be on the look out for my shout out yeah! :)) I can't contain my excitement really!! but first I want to share this lil altered project I made for the challenge over at Smidapaper which I read about on my crafty friend, Sharon's blog! The challenge runs until the 14th of this month so you still have time to submit yours!

What I altered was basically a plain looking jewelry box (I forgot to take a 'before alteration' pic

:( ..and the result...voila! nice? I hope :) It's been a long long time since I participated in any challenge..and this was awesome fun for me! :)

Anyhoo..here it is..there's also a close-up shot so you can see all the clustering..

The Early Bird Gets The Kiss

That's a cute sentiment don't ya think? :) My DT kit this time came with a really cute set of American Crafts Stamps! and the sentiment..was one of it! I thought it'll be a nice change to use it for the title of my LO as opposed to the all common chipboard..fun? Definitely! :)

The Making Memories collection of patterned papers for Valentines Day are just as sweet and I cut out the little hearts from them for dimension on my layout. I simply layered them one on top of the other.

For the background, I used a plain cardstock and stamped the script at random areas using the Prima Marketing Notary stamp. They totally rock! :) The rest are basically layering and the banner is a Sassafras Lass Die Cut.

And oh yes! the angel chipboard was actually gold glitter, but I heat embossed it with a bit of copper for the two tone! Try it if you haven't already! ;)

Altered Frame for New Baby

Adear friend is due in a month, and being one that adores handmade things, I thought this lil frame will be ideal for her baby's nursery..

I do hope she'll like it as much as I enjoyed making it for her..

Materials Used : MM Acrylic Paint, Ranger Crackle Paint, MLS Spike PP, Melissa Frances PP, Graphic 45 PP, MS Garden Trellis Punch

It's very easy to make, just follow the steps below:

1) Paint the entire frame with Making Memories' Acrylic Paint

2) Smooth crackle paint all over but be sure to leave some gaps here and there (for a worn out look)

3) Cut out the shapes you desire from any patterned paper (I've used MLS)

4) Punch out a long strip using any border punch for fencing (I've used MS Garden Trellis)

5) Cut out enough PP (MF in mine) to cover the window of the frame

6) Cut out the nursery rhyme from the Graphic 45 PP

Easy Peasy? You bet! :)

Wish for a Dear Friend

Love Card

The month of February, is most famous as the month of love! Valentine's Day has long been one of the most celebrated days in the world! and in conjunction with that, Papier has some amazing kits (at a very very reasonable price really!) for your play around with in your quest at making a lil handmade gift for your loved one. Do drop by the store soon!! before they're all gone! :P

Today's my turn at the blog and I'd like to share with you lovelies a window card! It was made using Cardstock and the amazing glitter chipboard is by Making Memories! I love it to bits!!!

Some scrappy info:

1) The window is first stamped with Prima Script Stamp using Ranger Distress Ink

2) The first page is heat embossed using AC embossing powder in Opaque and then distressed

3) Create dimension by layering a punched out portion of the Making Memories PP onto a slightly bigger die cut and arrange some 3D roses along the sides of the heart chipboard

4) Affix the chipboard & stick a pearl brad through the middle (this is really gorgeous!! definitely a must have!)

5) On the window, stick down some lace along both sides & the lil Hambly Screen Print Chandelier

Scrap-It-Lah February Challenge

Basic Grey's Curio patterned papers are to die for! don't ya agree??? I love that I can cut out all those little details and assemble them together to create a scenery...like wat I did here! :) I also tried something different, I distressed the edges of the photo and then used a blending tool to apply Ranger Distress Ink on the photo.

This is a pic of DH and I at our recent (well not so recent anymore *Lol*) holiday at Mauritius. It truly was paradise there and I'm glad the Curio papers enhance that picturesque moment beautifully. The only problem with the pic is...my hair! *lol*

Anyways...here's the layout I made for the February challenge over at Scrap-it-Lah which is in conjunction with Valentines's Day! Mind you...there's a twist to this month's challenge which you will find out by hopping here!!

Today was just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! I had a fun filled day with my crafty buddy Teacher Jessy! We met up at her place earlier this morning and what happens when scrappy friends meet? enough said! *lol*..Jessy's a wonderful person and I'm glad that I found a true friend in her through scrapping! She's always encouraging and never fails to lift my spirits ;) Thank you for a wonderful day & for always being so gracious & kind my dear!

Heya dearies! How has ya week been? mine was crazy, hectic, all rolled into one! lol and I'm so glad that I even had a wee bit of time to scrap and make a few cards too which I'll be sharing with you'll soon ;)

Today's card I'm sharing is a kiddy card which I made for Papier our LSS. I love fussy cutting (I'm sure you can tell by now *lol*) and creating lil sceneries with them..It's amazing what you can come up with really!

I didn't put a sentiment up on this one and was wondering if you have any thoughts on what it shud be? maybe "Have a cheerful day!"? Anyways..that's me wishing you a cheerful day and let's get on with the card shall we? ;)

Materials Used : Ivory Cream Cardstock, Cosmo Cricket PP, American Crafts PP (loving this range! the clouds are so darn cute! :)) Ek Success Border Punch

Simple step by step tute:
1) Cut out a cardstock into 4 x 12 and fold in half
2) Cut out Cosmo Cricket PP into 3.8 X 5.4
3) Adhere PP atop Cardstock
4) Add punch out border
5) Add fussy cut flowers & clouds

Today's my turn at the Papier blog and I'm here to share a card! One that's made using Cosmo Cricket and Making Memories patterned paper..Aren't those papers just pretty! :)

The cluster of roses are fussy cut from the latest Making Memories patterned papers. Simply sweet eh! :) Anyhow..here's the card..and do drop by the store cause there are lots of yummy new arrivals!! I hoarded a few stamps and papers myself hehe...errrmmm perhaps I should rephrase...lots actually! lol

Happy Happy New Year dearies!!! :) It's been a fab year for me so far (lol..though there are many more months to come) and I hope it's been the same for you! :) I'm a simple gurl with simple needs (though scrapbooking supplies are nothing close to that hehe) and thus very simple resolutions were made as well..:) Those hard to keep ones are better not made rite? :0)

Anyhoo..here's a layout for Papier and this round I'm using Cosmo Cricket for the background! The colours are cheery and fun so it's comes as no surprise that I scrapped my gurl's pic yet again ;)

The rest of the embellies are basically fussy cutting of My Little Shoebox Patterned Papers & Cosmo Cricket too. There's also a sheet of Vintage music notes and cut out Graphic 45 Patterned Paper as well as American Crafts Thickers and a wee bit of stitching.

Scrap-It-Lah January 2011 Challenge!

Heya dearies!! boy am I excited!! :) I've got happy happy happy news to share! Today

I debut as part of the DT for Scrap-it-Lah, our very own Malaysian scrapbooking challenge blog! woo hoo!!! Thank You so much M for considering me!! :) It's a real honor & pleasure!

This month's challenge is in conjunction with National Hobby Month and you are challenged to make a 12x12 layout on your OTHER hobby(ies) apart from scrapbooking. The twist of the challenge is that you have to INCLUDE SOME KIND OF ELEMENT OF YOUR HOBBY in the layout, not counting the photo.

I love reading romantic novels and beach getaways so I used Webster's pages PP and whimsical embellishments to show that I love reading novels that are romantic and the background PP with large flowers provide for a tropical feel for my travel hobby ;)

How's the New Year so far? good? I hope so..The weekend is never a weekend for my family & I..this weekend, we've got 2 kiddo Birthday parties to attend..which is why, this post is gonna be super duper short..minus my rambling of course! lol..

Photo Cube

This is the final challenge for the DT project at Papier and I must say it was mighty tough! LOL!!
Each of us were given a photo cube (yes a photo cube!!) to embellish to our heart's content! As with my all my other projects, this piece was no elaborate affair either :) Simple.. and I'm now contemplating if I should place it on my desk at the office *hehe*

Anyways..here's a 'page' by 'page' tut on how I made this cube:

First, you gotta distress the entire cube using Ranger Distress Inks

Page 1: Adhere Photo, followed by Prima flower and rolled roses (using the Sizzix 3D flowers die) and leaf. Tuck in the little assemble of flowers. Adhere some Tim Holtz tissue tape (must have!!)

Materials Used : Tim Holtz Tissue Tape, Prima Flower, Leaf, Sizzix 3D Flowers Die, Cluster of flowers

Page 2 : Adhere photo and form a frame using ribbon. Next, using October Afternoon rub-ons, rub off the tree and leaf motifs onto the cube. After that, Cut out the damask like designs from the American Crafts PP for leaves and layer the Tim Holtz flower with a 3D flower Sizzix die cut. Lastly, layer prima flowers and adhere atop the 'leaves'. Finish off with a lil bit of Tim Holtz Tissue Tape

Materials Used : Pink Paislee PP, American Crafts PP, Ribbon, Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Die, Sizzix 3D Flowers Die, October Afternoon Rub Ons, Tim Holtz Tissue Tape, Prima Flowers.\

Page 3 : This one's a lil tricky cause I firstly needed to embellish the plain looking die cut Tim Holtz chipboard wings. I first painted it white with acrylic paints and then once dried, i adhere feathers to it for a angelic look *hehe*. While waiting for that to dry up, I adhered the photo. Then I added to the top of the wings the Prima butterfly (so gorgeous don't you think ;)). Added the cluster of flowers and finally the butterflies

Materials Used : Tim Holtz Wings die cut, Prima Butterfly, Flower cluster, Papertrey Ink Butterfly Die Cut, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Feathers.

Page 4 : Adhere Sizzix Die, photo, Add flower and American Carfts PP for leaves, Hambly Dress Form Screen Print, and Sizzix 3D flowers. Add a small bow to the top of the photo and finally finish off with a bit of tissu tape.

Materials Used : American Crafts PP, Prima Flower, Sizzix Flourish & 3D flowers die, Hambly Dress Form Screen Print, Lace, Tim Holtz Tissue Tape.

And finally, all my lil princess needs is a crown above her head! :) So here's what's on the top part of the cube, A simple crown that's painted with Ranger crackle paint!

Materials Used : Sizzix Crown Die & Ranger Crackle Paint.

Simple Card

Heya! I'd like to share a really really simple piece today. It's very fast to make as well cause it was made using very little materials. Instead of patterned paper, I used the backing sheet from a pack of K&Co ephemeras. The backing was really pretty & it looked like a graph patterned paper.

I save lots of my backing sheets from Prima flowers etc to substitute them for patterned papers. Some are just too nice to be thrown away isn't it.

Challenge 3 - Altered Project

Hey there peeps! :) Today I'd like to share with you'll an altered project which I made for Papier's DT Challenge 3! Christmas is around the corner, yes in two days to be exact lol! so if you wana make a fast & simple candy holder, here's a lil idea! ;)

I've altered this steel pail from Daiso to make it a candy holder..you can either hang it on your tree (yes tried and tested! :) lol..or simply place it on your coffee table..

It's very simple to make & I'll take you through the steps now:

1) Paint the entire pail with Ranger Crackle Paint (I've used tattered rose here, but you can opt for any other that fancies you! ;))
2) Leave it to dry. It's will give you a really really pretty cracked effect!

3) Heat emboss a music notes stamped image or any Christmas related stamping.

4) Adhere lace all round the pail

5) Punch out a strip of border using any Border Punch and place it behind the lace

6) Stick some pins.

7) And here comes the tricky part...I made this lil paper angel. So you too can make a lil sumthing or you can simply follow this tut.

8) Tie a mixture of tiny pieces of lace & ribbons at the ends of the handles of the pail

Materials Used : Steel Pail, Lace, Ribbons, Tim Holtz Wings Die, Circle Punch, Sequins, Crackle Paint, MS Border Punch, Maya Road Pins, Making Memories Acrylic Paint, Stickles, American Crafts Embossing Powder in Opaque White.

To make the angel:

1) Punch out a circle

2) Draw out a shaped figure

3) Die Cut Wings using the Tim Hotlz Alterations Die

4) Adhere the circle to the body shape to form the angel's head

5) Paint / Distress / Add stickles to the wings for added effect

6)Adhere to the shaped figure too ;)

* Tip 1 : You can dress up the shaped figure with sequins etc just as how I have done for mine
* Tip 2 : You can adhere a magnet at the back of the angel so you place it in any manner you like on the pail.

Nice? I hope you like what you see and it gives you some ideas for Christmas ;) Here's Wishing you ladies a Merry Merry Christmas!!! :)

Apart from some really yummy items, the DT kit this month also had chipboard alphas that are really pretty! I decided that it would be nice to make a Monogram card using one of the alphas..!

This lil card I made has a hidden message..can you find it? :) if you look at the close-up pic, you'll notice that the music note that I've adhered to the top of the patterned paper actually has the verse 'I'm falling in love'..so this card..can be given to a girl or guy you'd like to court whose initials start with A! Monogram cards are fun aren't they? :)

Anyhoo...Here's what I made..

A tip to share:

Chipboard need not always be painted, they can also be bling-ed with a lil bit of stickles. You can also top it off with some glossy accents to make it pop.

It's only a few weeks to Christmas! Would you believe it..? the year flew by so fast and now..the malls are all decked with gorgeous Christmas Trees and beautiful lights aaannnd we're about to celebrate the dawn of another year together as friends & family :)

The month of December is always a month of fun..and we, are at Papier are embarking on a creative endeavour *lol*..The DT projects this month come with a twist! Each of us ladies will be competing against each other with projects using materials from a DT kit that's exactly the same!! (plus other materials like Tim Holtz Dies & Prima and Tattered Angels Stamps) Tough ain't it!? *lol*

But I'm loving it and I'm sure the rest of the ladies are too! :) Read more about the challenge here and Here's my take on the first challenge, which is to create a layout! I love simplicity, and this layout as most of you might later agree, *hehe*, is definitely simple!

Materials Used :

Bazzill Basics Cardstock, Webster's Pages Patterned Paper, Chipboard, Acrylic Paint in Olive, Tattered Angels Stamp, Zing Embossing Powder in Opaque White, Martha Stewart Holiday & Butterfly Punch, Lace, Prima Flowers, AC Thickers

Some scrappy info:

1) First I cut-off the pretty designs off the Webster's Pages PP, and adhered them to the cardstock using foam dots

2) I punched all around the areas of the cardstock that were blank

3) Stamp using the Tattered Angels Flourishes stamps and heat emboss

4) Layer two different butterflies & adhere them as well on parts of the flourishes

5) Adhere photo & prima flower

6) Using Prima stamps, stamp the journal design and adhere behind photo. Be sure to put in a tiny slit so you can weave your lace through

6) Stamp music notes faintly

7) Last touch would be to add on the chipboard and thickers!

* Don't stick everything down permanently so that you can add on or remove little embellishments as you wish like tuck in a piece of chipboard under the fussy cut patterned paper.

heya sweeties!!! :) Today's the day for card number 4! I kinda like this one the most among the 4 cause the colours I used here are those I hardly ever experiment with! socheerful & colourful!! :0) and I do like how this one turned out..I've got a few more cards coming up and hopefully a few layouts on the way too.. ;)

Btw, did I tell you I found a perfect substitute for rhinestones? Well, you know those lil shops that sell nail art stickers? yeap..u can get 'em there! :) I will share some pics with you tmrw so you know exactly what I'm talking about...cause...I'm not the best person when it comes to describing things lol..
