Hey there Paperhaus Magazine fans! I'm here to share a mini album tute today. This time I'm making an album with a magnetic closure cover...This is the first time I'm makng such an album..so do be kind please lol! :)
It was rather fun trying this out. Have a look at how I made it right here..and if you do have a go at it, do let me know if yo had fun too! ;)
Completed Project
Cut a thick cardstock to 6x12. Using a scoreboard, score at 2.5', 1', 5.5' & 3'. Using a bone folder, fold at the scored areas to form a neat crease.
On another piece of cardstock, make the mini album cover by adhereing an image of you choice to the cardstock. Just behind the image, add a magnetic strip or two
On the cardstock that was scored at 2.5 & 3, adhere patterned paper of the same measurement. These two areas form the flaps to open and close the album
Decorate the sides with punched out borders
Adhere the cover to the flap that measures 2.5 x 6. Adhere lace to the spine of the album
On the other flap, adhere two metal findings. This acts helps the magnetic strip hold the album together
Next, cut out chipboard, patterned paper to 3x6. This forms the pages of the mini album. Cut as many as you think you may need. Adhere the patterned paper to both sides of the chipboard
Cut out plain coloured cardstock to 2x6 to make the spine for the pages of the album. Punch along the sides for deco and adhere to the chipboard
Proceed to add tabs to each page if you wish
Adhere the little book into the album cover
