Project Instructions:
For Box Base:
Cut cardstock to 8”x8”.
Score at 2” and 6”.
Slit and adhere the flaps.
For Box Lid:
Cut seashells patterned paper to 8”x8”.
Score at 2” and 6 1/8”. Slit and adhere the flaps.
Adhere a journaling tag from the patterned paper stack, stamp the compass and wheel image onto kraft cardstock, fussy cut and attach brad through and adhere it on top of the tag.
For Coasters:
Apply mod podge to the cardboard. This is avoid the ink from blotting when you stamp the image onto it. Wait for the mod podge to dry.
Stamp the image of your choice. Using oil pastels of your choice, colour the images.
The reason I chose oil pastels is because I can easily blend them to achieve a vintage look. You can also opt to use watercolours.
Distress the edges and around the image with distress inks of your choice.
Use a sealant to brush over the coloured image.
This is to ensure that the colour doesn’t run when you wipe the coasters after they’re used. Once the liquid sealant has dried, spray on the Clear seal to preserve the image.
this is amazing, just gorgeous!!!
