The Doodlebug Inc 2014 Design Team!

Hi Hi!! I just got back from an awesome holiday in India..whilst there, I woke up to really, really happy-dance news! I'm so happy to announce that I made it to the Doodlebug 2014 design team alongside these extremely talented crafters! :)

It is indeed a pleasure and sheer joy to be designing for this awesome manufacturer who creates out of this (scrapbook) world cutesy, vibrant, colouful papers and embellishments..I cant wait to show you what I can make with their stash! :)

A New Frontier to Explore..A New Begining with an Exciting Team!

Woo hoo!! In my previous post, I had some happy news to share! So here I am, squealing with delight!! Cause... I am so excited that I am now part of gel-a-tins!!! I applied for the DT position from the call they had posted..not thinking too much about it after that as I even had doubts if I'd be accepted..but I got the thrilling news of acceptance into the DT ! yaaay!! :)

I'd like to extend my thanks to the wonderful folks at gel-a-tins for giving me this wonderful, amazing opportunity..It's going to be an awesome experience.. I can tell! *lol* and I'm just waiting to start right on!!! woo hoo!! :)

A little about gel-a-tins, they specialize in clear stamps (you must check them out..their designs are amazing!! :)) which range from letter stamps..to image..to layering stamps! If that's not all..they come in really cute, amazing, handly metal containers for your easy storage! :)

Be sure to take a look around their site..I'm certain you'll find stamps (amongst other items like embossing powders and gelly gems) that'll make you go wow-wee and oh my! :)

Create & Scrap it With a Song

I got whooping good news yesterday! :) It made me do the happy dance plus put a smile on my tired face!! :) My card & lo for Papier's challenge got selected winner!! There were so many beautiful entries and am thrilled that mine got selected..Thank you Macy!! :)

I've got one layout but two submissions! This one's for my take at Create (which requires stitching on the LO) & Scrap it With a Song where they're featuring 'So Happy Together' by the Turtles (Iused the very title for my LO).

I did this for my dear bestie who got engaged in May & will be getting married in December. Thought it'll be the ideal gift for their new home :) Well I do hope she'll like it...Here it is:

Heya

Hey there dearies! I've been pretty lucky to be able to do this lil blog entry. Our friend's place over here in Joburg's got internet connection yay!! and we've had a pretty relaxed day today..despite the cold cold 800km drive!! :P So here I am, doing what I love best!

We managed to catch 2 World Cup Matches, the Argentina (woo hoo!!) and Mexico game & the Brazil & Chile game! It was awesome I promise you! Being there, and watching all those hunky players in action was just too much fun! *lol* :)It's winter here now, and the coldest it's been is 5 degrees!!!! gosh I can't stand 16 what more 5!! But it's so lovely here I'd consider moving! *lol*

I've been doing a bit of shopping and our friend (I should give her a name eh) Maria's got plans to take me scrapbook supplies shopping on Friday! How good is that huh :)

Today we went to quite a number of places...We started off with a lil horse riding (3 hr drive from Joburg). I was a lil apprehensive, but I must say it was awesome awesome fun!! we were taken through the woods (I'll be uploading pics once I'm back ;)) & my horse was one big bully! he kept shoving the other guys aside..but I absolutely loved it when he gallopped...reaaall nice. :) he was rather well behaved throughout the rest of the ride though!

We then went on to a few tourist stops : The Berlyn Falls, God's Window and a quaint lil town call Pilgrim's Place for tea. It was such a tiring day & drive that I slept all the way home!

Anyways...my holiday's been great so far..but I do miss my baby terribly..I call home every few hours to find out how she's doing...I've got pictures of her with me too would you believe it!! *lol* Though I'm sad my lil vacay's coming to an end soon, I'm looking fwd to going home!! Just to be with my gurl & get started on my addictive hobby!!

On another note, I've got 3 exciting & happy news to share! :)

1) My card got selected as winner at Scrap It With A Song for their Week 10 challenge!! Woo hoo!! Thank you ladies!! It's truly an honor!!

2) My Sending Hugs card for Sketch 43 at Get Sketchy was also selected winner! Thank You Bree & Team!! I'm thrilled!!

3) The most exciting news by far! I got selected to be part of Regina's awesome DT at TheCuttingCafe!!!! I'm thrilled, overjoyed! excited! Yay Yippie Yay!!

Ok ladies, am off to bed now...tomorrow's another exciting day waiting to happen :)!

GDT at LCOM!

Hey there dearies!! I've got yet another happy news to share! Remember the Love/Wedding/Anniversary challenge that was held at LCOM last week? The prize is a cool one, where the Card of the Week that they capture will get to be the Guest Designer with them the Week of June 27th plus get 15% off from the LCOM store (one time)!!!

Guess who's card captured? *hehe* Mine!! I'm excited for my stint as GDT at LCOM. The other entries by Aurelie & JoAnn V. were absolutely fab! Congrats to you ladies! & Thank you so much Sandi and team for the awesome awesome honour & prize! ;) I'm thrilled!

I got my first ever Design Team Welcome email! I'm very thankful to Karan Gerber of Cardabilities for accepting my application! It's my first stint with a design team so you can imagine my excitement :)

I will definitely give it my best and am truly honoured to be part of a talented, fun, exciting team! :)

Can't wait to work with all you fun ladies!

Yay!! two news that made my happy!!

Good news! I finally got my scrapping stash back on my fav table *lol*..& Aneeka's party went on well despite the rain...all her lil friends showed up too!!

I was so worried that the rain might dampen everyone's mood & that the turnout would not be good...but god willing, everything went on amazingly well!!! :) My heartfelt thanks too to all who came & made my lil gal's first Birthday a memorable & amazing one :)

My 20 yr old cousin took advantage of the inflated house and spent the entire time 'watching' over the kids while he jumped about in there *lol* I took aneeka in for a quick jump too *hehe*

The pics should be out in a couple of weeks...will surely put them up! ;)

On another note..My best friend got engaged today...we've been besties for 15 yrs now & look fwd to a lifelong friendship...we hope our kids will be good friends too *lol* wishful thinking...I did what best I could for her...Made her engagement invites...drove her around to get her mehndi & hair done..AND I was also her make-up artist for the day!! cool eh *lol*

Anyways..all the excitement over the last couple of days have really taken a toll on me..I'm off for a good night's rest now....

ooo...it's been an eventful day and I can't help but blog with ecstasy..*lol* I'm on seventh heaven people and all thanks to Scrap-it-lah! Remember the blog hop challenge they had in conjunction with their anniversary? Well,.......the results were announced today!!

I wish to extend my hearfelt thank you to Nadrah and the DTs at SIL for the beautiful RAKs...my first ever and will definitely treasure them and put 'em to good use :) it truly gives me motivation to move forward in this beautiful hobby and is a great great encouragement..It tells me that I'm in the right direction though there's soooo much more to learn... ;)

You ladies at SIL truly ROCK! and are truly inspiring & I look forward to many many more challenges by you'll and will definitely scrap-it-lah more ;)
